Strategic Plan

The Greater Greenville Chamber's 2026-2029 Strategic Plan focuses on three core priorities that drive our mission and guide our work: Business Prosperity, Leadership & Collaboration, and Education & Workforce Advancement.  Together, these priorities strengthen our community’s economic vitality, foster strong partnerships, and ensure a skilled and prepared workforce for the future.

Business Prosperity

Create an environment where businesses of all sizes can start, grow, and thrive.

Strategy:

  • Connect member businesses and people to opportunities and resources that drive business growth.
  • Partner with public and private stakeholders to attract new businesses, retain existing ones, and promote sustainable growth.
  • Advocate for pro-business policies that support business success and community livability.
  • Engage and support business leaders through tailored programs that keep our chamber’s offerings dynamic and responsive—fueling innovation, business growth, and a thriving local economy.
  • Provide and promote initiatives that strategically increase the growth and success of diverse businesses.

Leadership & Collaboration

Cultivate strong leadership and collaborative partnerships that inspire innovation, strengthen engagement and advance the region's prosperity.

  • Provide training and programs to develop emerging and established leaders.
  • Encourage collaboration to build a connected, resilient business community dedicated to a shared success.
  • Build partnerships across neighboring communities and regional organizations to advance shared economic goals and strengthen the overall economy.
  • Explore the creation of a 501(c)(3) foundation to support initiatives, education, and other business-related activities.
  • Foster alliances with neighboring chambers, industry associations, and economic development organizations.
  • Collaborate with partners to anticipate trends and create long term opportunities for strategic growth.

Education & Workforce Development

Partner with educational institutions, industry, and government to build a sustainable talent pipeline for the success of individuals and businesses in a dynamic economy.

Strategy:

  • Improve and expand workforce development initiatives and strengthen K-12 business engagement.
  • Engage businesses to help ensure policymakers and educators recognize the importance of preparing students and citizens to meet the critical needs of area employers.
  • Support strategies that align education providers with existing/future industry needs, including innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • Expand and refine leadership and program offerings to foster education and workforce development.
  • Pilot innovative models of collaboration to respond to emerging education and workforce trends.
