Carolina Digestive Diseases welcomes new physician

GREENVILLE, NC — Carolina Digestive Diseases & Endoscopy Center is pleased to announce that Maurice S. Marcuard, MD will join its team of providers on August 14, 2023.  Carolina Digestive Diseases provides the most comprehensive range of gastroenterology specialty services in Pitt County.  They also provide second opinion consultative and advanced endoscopic services for their colleagues who practice gastroenterology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, as well as thoracic hepatobiliary, pancreatic and colorectal surgery.

"From early on, I have been exposed to a life in medicine," said Dr. Marcuard.  "The human intrigue and constant evolution of medicine led me to choose this career path.  After seeing the joy my father had practicing Gastroenterology and Hepatology, I was drawn to it.  Throughout my education and training, the hands-on aspect, the ability to improve my patient's quality of life, and combination of preventative care along with the rapidly advancing technology for disease treatment solidified my passion for the field.  I look forward to bringing my knowledge and experience back to my hometown to give back to the community I grew up in."
