Peacock joins Chamber as Director of Talent & Events

GREENVILLE, NC (August 9, 2021) — The Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the newest addition to its staff with the hiring of Aileen Peacock as Director of Talent & Events.  In this role, Peacock will be responsible for event coordinating and implementation, along with marketing and program development.

"We are thrilled to have Aileen join our staff," said Trent McGee, interim president of the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce.  "Her professional experience, acumen, and leadership will undoubtedly be of great benefit for the Chamber and our members."

Peacock, a native of Simpsonville, SC, is a 2011 graduate of the College of Charleston where she earned a bachelor's degree in Hospitality & Tourism and Business Administration.  Upon graduating from the College of Charleston, Peacock soaked up the Charleston hospitality industry and laid a foundation for her career in event coordination by working for two of the leading catering companies in the Charleston area.

Prior to accepting the role as Director of Talent & Events for the Chamber, Peacock served as the assistant general manager and event coordinator at Rock Springs Center in Greenville where she managed day-to-day operations and event planning for various clients.

Peacock is the current chairperson of the Young Professionals of Pitt County and has been a member of the organization's steering committee since 2018.  In recognition of her strong leadership and dedication to the Young Professionals organization, she was named the Young Professional of the Year in 2020.  Peacock is a 2017 graduate of the Chamber's Leadership Institute and is actively involved with the Pitt-Greenville Convention & Visitors Authority and Greenville Noon Rotary.

Aileen and her husband, Tyler, reside in Greenville.  Some of her favorite pastimes include boating, cooking, gardening, and traveling.
