The Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year award is among the Chamber's most prestigious community recognition awards. To be considered for the award, the nominee should be someone who enjoys a reputation for continuous community service, has been honored for involvement with business-related and/or personal affiliations or professional associations, and has impacted and made a difference in Greenville-Pitt County over the past year. The Citizen of the Year shall be chosen by a selection committee which shall be appointed by the current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce and shall remain anonymous. The selection committee will review and weigh the nominees based on leadership, community involvement, volunteerism, and specific contributions to the community.
Nominations will be accepted through Thursday, November 30, 2023. The recipient of the award will be announced during the Chamber's Annual Membership Celebration on February 8, 2024.
*At least one (1) letter of support is required to be submitted on behalf of the nominee. Additional letters of support may be submitted, and are encouraged, but only five (5) total will be considered.
