Join us for a ribbon cutting to celebrate Eastern North Carolina's first community solar farm run by a public utility - our very own Greenville Utilities Commission (GUC)!

They are building a 500-kilowatt solar farm across from Bradford Creek Soccer Complex (4523 Old Pactolus Rd) that is slated to be complete later this summer. This will be GUC's first community solar project, making them only the second public utility in North Carolina to have a community-owned solar farm. This ribbon cutting will take place at GUC's solar farm located directly across from the soccer complex on October 7, 2025, at 9:00 A.M.
