Ronald McDonald House Charities of ENC Announce New President and CEO

GREENVILLE, NC, May 10, 2024 — The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern North Carolina (RMHC of ENC) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Beth Anne Atkins has been selected to join the RMHC team as the new President and CEO.

Atkins brings over 25 years of experience in marketing, communications, and public relations. She was formerly employed for 18 years with ECU Health (formerly Vidant Health) and spent the last seven years of her tenure at ECU Health Foundation.

 “Beth Anne's background in philanthropy, health care, state government, and the nonprofit sectors will allow her to lead the RMHC team forward with passion and a new strategic vision,” said Winston Howell, chair, RMHC of ENC Board of Directors.

Atkins who is an alumna of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a Master of Public Administration from East Carolina University embodies the spirit of lifelong learning. Currently pursuing her Doctorate of Strategic Leadership with Liberty University, she sets a compelling example of continuous growth and development. Atkins will officially start her new role on Tuesday, May 28.

"I am thrilled to join and lead such a mission-driven organization that delivers great impact to families all across eastern North Carolina,” said Atkins. “I look forward to learning more about the organization’s rich history, and I appreciate the confidence the RMHC of ENC Board of Directors and leadership team has in me to guide them through this next phase.

Atkins currently lives in Winterville with her husband, David. They have two children, Will, 21, and Elizabeth, 18.
