Chamber welcomes new board chair/members for 2024

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Effective January 1, 2024, Kelly Barnhill, Jr., president of Hendrix-Barnhill Co., Inc., will serve as the 2024 board chair of the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce and Marianne Cox, vice president of institutional advancement at Pitt Community College, will serve as chair-elect in 2024.

Barnhill has been employed by Hendrix-Barnhill since 1995 and has served as president of the company since 1998.  He has served on numerous boards in Greenville and Pitt County, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain, Greater Greenville Community Foundation, Saint Peter Catholic School Advisory Council, University City Kiwanis, and Pitt Community College Board of Trustees.

Cox joined Pitt Community College in 2011 to serve as coordinator of the VISIONS Career Development and Scholarship Program.  She was named the program's director in 2015 before being promoted to vice president of Institutional Advancement in 2019.  Cox currently serves on the Heart for ENC Board of Directors.

The Chamber board also welcomed the following new board members serving a three-year term that will expire on Dec. 31, 2026.

The following directors at-large will serve a one-year term that expires on Dec. 31, 2024.
