Chamber Announces New Hire

GREENVILLE, NC — The Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the hiring of Kimber Stone as its new Director of Member Relations & Programs.

Stone comes to the Chamber after previously serving as the executive director of Riley's Army for the past eight years.  Riley's Army is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization that supports children with cancer and their families in eastern North Carolina.  In her role with the Chamber, Stone will be responsible for the Chamber's overall member experience and oversight of the Chamber's programs such as the Leadership Institute and Young Professionals of Pitt County organization.

Serving the families of children with cancer was Stone's primary responsibility during her time with Riley's Army.  She also organized campaigns and support programs, fundraising events, and community outreach initiatives to further the organization's mission.  Additionally, Stone was responsible for building strong collaborations with various community organizations including, but not limited to: Beau's Buddies, Daughter's 4 Dad's, Angels N Camo, and Heart for ENC.

Stone, a native of Raleigh, NC, is a 1995 graduate of East Carolina University where she earned a bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation.  She earned an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership in 2018 from Duke University's Nonprofit Management program is currently participating in the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce's 2019 Leadership Institute.

Stone and her husband, Kurt, have one son (Kaleb) and three daughters, Kourtney, Kallie and Kassie.
