The steering committee of the Young Professionals of Pitt County is proud to offer a scholarship to the Greenville-Pitt County Leadership Institute.
Leadership Institute is an eight-month program offering valuable information and hands-on experiences designed to enhance leadership potential; to channel personal strengths; and to cultivate interest in community service so participants can become involved in supporting and directing the future of Pitt County. This program is the only one of its kind in the area and has professionally developed hundreds of our region’s leaders.
The program runs September-April and consists of one full day and a two-hour lunch session each month as well as an overnight retreat.
The YP Scholarship will cover the entire cost of the Leadership Institute which is a $950 value. In order to qualify for the scholarship, you must be a member in good standing of the YP, and your employer must be a member in good standing of the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce.

- Compose a 100 word write-up explaining why you would like to participate in Leadership Institute.
- You must be in good standing with Young Professionals and your company must be in good standing with the Chamber to be eligible for the scholarship.

The Young Professionals Steering Committee will review the applications and award the scholarship based on the strength of the application and the applicant's contributions to the Young Professionals.
Whether you are awarded the scholarship or not, your name will be considered as an applicant to the Leadership Institute. If your participation in Leadership Institute is dependent on the scholarship, just let us know.
