Financial hole presents tough choices for U.S. - Walker's Solution

GREENVILLE, NC - The honorable David M. Walker, founder and CEO of the Comeback America Initiative (CAI), and the former United States Comptroller General, will be visiting Eastern North Carolina on Thursday, July 21, 2011.  Mr. Walker will be addressing those in attendance at the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce Power Luncheon at Brook Valley Country Club from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. as he relays his nationwide message regarding America's looming debt catastrophe.  From 1998 to 2008, Walker served as the seventh U.S. Comptroller General and head of the Government Accountability Office, one of his three presidential appointments during his 15 years of total federal service.  He now leads the CAI's efforts to promote fiscal responsibility and sustainability by encouraging the public and assisting key policymakers on a non-partisan basis to help achieve solutions to America's federal, state and local fiscal imbalances.

"Spending has gotten out of control, especially in the last 10 years, the last 10 years were, in my view, the most fiscally irresponsible period in the history of the United States, and both political political parties are to blame."
-David Walker, June 2, 2011
