Day 1 - 10/10 JFK/Shanghai/Beijing

Check in at JFK International Airport for an afternoon flight with China Eastern Airlines MU 588 at 4:35 pm to Beijing. Your adventure begins as you fly trans-Pacific aboard a wide cabin jetliner. Cross the International Dateline.

Day 2 - 10/11 Shanghai/Beijing

Land at Shanghai at 7:30 pm for customs then take a transit flight MU 5186 at 9:15 pm and arrive in Beijing at 11:35 pm, the Capital of China. You will be met by your local tour guide at the airport. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 3 - 10/12 Beijing

Visit the Tian An Men Square, the largest square in the world and the Temple of Heaven, built in 1420 A.D., where the emperors prayed to the heaven for a good harvest. Visit the Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, home of 24 emperors with a total space of 9,999 room and the Summer Palace, known for the Long Corridor with painted gallery, Kunning Lake and Longevity Hill, Seventeen-Arch Bridge and the Marble Boat.

Day 4 - 10/13 Beijing

Tour bus excursion to the Great Wall, the 4,000-mile long and 2,000 year old construction is said to be the only man-made structure visible by the naked eye from the moon. Visit the Ming Tombs, one of 13 Ming Emperors' Tombs is fully excavated and open for exploration. Roasted Beijing Duck Dinner.

Day 5 - 10/14 Beijing/Shanghai/Suzhou

Morning China Eastern flight to Shanghai, then take a tour bus trip to Suzhou. Afternoon sightseeing at the centuries old Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill and Hanshan Temple. Visit the National Embroidery Institute to see silk embroidery, and important local craft with 1,000 years of history. Evening Dinner Show with traditional Chinese Music.

Day 6 - 10/15 Suzhou/Hangzhou

Morning tourbus journey to Hangzhou. Visit the economic development zone. Visit the centuries old Lingyin Temple, with the main feature of the 64.3 ft-high. camphor-wood Buddha.

Day 7 - 10/16 Hangzhou/Shanghai

Morning boat cruise on West Lake with relaxing stopover at jewel-like pagodas. Visit the Longjing Green Tea Plantation. Continue the bus journey to Shanghai.

Day 8- 10/17 Shanghai

Sightseeing includes the Yu Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, rocky works and over arching trees. Visit the Bund, a famous waterfront park. Business visit to the Pudong economic development zone.

Day 9 - 10/18 Shanghai/JFK

Return flight MU 587 will depart by 12:00 noon for JFK where you will arrive at 2:15 pm on the same day.
